Latex Screed
What is Latex Screed?
Latex screed contains liquid latex in a self-levelling floor screed. On top of its qualities as a self levelling compound, latex-based screeds also have several key properties that make them perfect for specialised applications.
A latex self-levelling surface is quick drying, and can be poured to a wide variety of thicknesses, from 3mm to 50mm. To increase depth above 40mm, silica sand can be mixed into the compound, enabled deeper pours if required. Quick-drying layers are a benefit to a wide variety of projects, enabling foot traffic and load bearing to begin much more promptly. This has a positive impact on your ability to keep your project within budget.
Latex screed contains no protein, meaning it can’t harbour bacterial life. This is important in medical or food handling environments, nursing homes, nurseries and other environments where bacterial infestation is important to avoid.
In areas where a large amount of foot traffic, or rubber wheeled light vehicles or trolleys are expected, latex screed provides an excellent surface. Providing high durability and excellent grip profiles, it is a perfect solution for industrial applications such as warehouses or external buildings.
