Screed
What is Screed?
Screed is a versatile material that can be customised to meet your specific needs and budget. Typically, it’s made up of silica sand, concrete, or other special ingredients mixed with clean water. This mixture can be easily mixed and pumped on site from a single vehicle to level out floors and rough surfaces of all kinds. Once screed is applied and smoothed out, it can be left as is for a natural look or used as a sturdy base for different types of floor coverings such as tile, carpet, or linoleum.Â
Here at Flow Screed Services, we take pride in offering a wide range of screed types and services to cater to your individual requirements. We work closely with both domestic and commercial contractors and building companies to provide you with exceptional service and value for money when it comes to screed in the Midlands. Â
We’re proud to say that much of our work comes from repeat business with large, reputable building contractors and mechanical companies. This demonstrates the high level of quality and professionalism we bring to every aspect of our work, from design and supply to labor and execution.Â

Why Screed
Levelling Screed helps to level uneven floors and create a smooth surface for laying tiles, carpets, or other flooring materials.
Strength: Screed provides a strong base layer that helps to distribute the weight of the flooring materials evenly. This makes the floor more durable and resistant to damage.
Thermal conductivity: Certain types of screed have good thermal conductivity, which means they can be used to create underfloor heating systems that are energy-efficient and cost-effective.
Moisture resistance: Some types of screed are resistant to moisture and can be used in areas that are prone to dampness or water damage, such as bathrooms, kitchens, and swimming pool surrounds.
Sound insulation: Some types of screed can also provide good sound insulation, reducing the transmission of noise between floors or rooms.
Fast-drying: Modern screed mixes can dry much faster than traditional sand and cement mixes, allowing for faster installation and reduced downtime.
